María Eugenia Blandón holds a doctorate in social psychology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and a social worker diplomacy from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), specializing in gender and feminist perspectives.
She has worked as a teacher in Catalonia and Colombia and at several Catalan NGOs on gender issues, male violence, international cooperation, migration and peacebuilding.
For more than 20 years, she has been working with groups of people who have migrated and are in the diaspora in Catalonia, where, for the last eight years, she has been mainly linked to the memory and peacebuilding processes of diasporas from countries at war, armed conflicts and situations of high conflict.
